Academic Integrity
What is it?
Academic integrity is “the expectation that teachers, students, researchers and all members of the academic community act with: honesty, trust, fairness, respect and responsibility” (TEQSA, 2022).
All students are expected to maintain academic integrity throughout their studies, regardless of the course or institution. Penalties for breaches of academic integrity do exist and vary in severity depending on the nature of the breach and the institution's policies.
Breaches of academic integrity can include plagiarism, recycling/resubmitting work, fabricating information, cheating and collusion.
